Toys We Buy

This is a pretty fluid list of our preferences in regards to what toys we buy, it doesn’t mean your items have to perfectly match this criteria, this only is what we’d prefer to accept.

These are the toys we buy:

  • Diecast toys & vehicles preferably in Mint & boxed but also Near Mint, Excellent and Good Play worn Conditions. Preferred manufacturers include Mattel (Hot Wheels) Lesney Matchbox, Dinky Toys and Corgi Toys. Boxes aren’t a necessity, but we do pay a premium for them.
  • Action Figures are accepted, including Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Action Force, Action Man from manufacturers such as Kenner, Palitoy, Hasbro and others. Again Mint in original Mint packaging is preferred but Near Mint, Excellent and Good play worn conditions are also acceptable.
  • Tinplate toys particularly welcome are any pre 1970’s from Japan, West Germany, Britain and USA. We do accept some Chinese toys boxed
  • Mechanical/Wind Up Toys again like with the tinplate preferences anything pre 1970’s is preferred from any of the listed countries. We do accept some Chinese items as above
  • Robots and Space Toys, Anything Pre 2000, Any between 1990-200 must be mint and boxed/carded. Anything pre 1990 will be considered.

Toy conditions we prefer

Conditions of the toys we buy vary from one type to another. We usually only buy items that are in Mint, Near Mint, Excellent or in Good Condition:

    • Mint items look as new, with no wear
    • Near Mint items look like new but with very minor wear to the item or box, if included
    • Excellent some items have inconspicuous imperfections, such as chips, rubs or scratches. If present, the box will show slight signs of wear.
    • Good the items have more imperfections, such as chips, but could still be displayed. There may be small tears or creases on the boxes, but they retain their shape.

It is possible for us to accept items in Fair or Poor condition, but our offer will be greatly influenced by their condition and rarity value:

    • Fair Several defects can be found on these items, such as heavy chipping and paint loss, damage to decals, or cracked windows. On the other hand, nothing is missing. Boxes might have missing end flaps.
    • Poor items show much heavier signs of wear. They could have missing components, be overpainted, poorly repainted, or be rusted. Unsuitable for display. If there are any boxes, they will cease to hold their shape.
